Excel (formerly Erliworm) 30 chewable tabs is an effective treatment of adult and juvienile roundworms in both dogs and cats. Many dogs and cats are born with roundworms passed in the womb from their mothers and adult dogs and cats pick them up from infected ground or by ingesting animal prey in the normal hunting pursuit. No matter how these parasites are acquired, the presence of this blood sucking threat is an extremely serious consequence to the health of the family pet. Known for its safety and effectiveness in the treatment of roundworms in both animal and humans, Piperazine Dihydrochloride in a chewable tablet form is appropriate for young kittens and puppies as well as adult dogs and cats. Dosage is 1 tablet (100mg Piperazine Dihydrochloride) per 4 pounds body weight with a repeat dosage in 10 days. Symptoms include but are not limited to diarrhea, blood in stool, and eating but insufficent weight gain with a pot bellied appearence in kittens and puppies. Treatment may begin at 6 weeks of age.
